A Home From Home
Happy Bears Play School is situated in Capri Village. Here, your child has a home away from home where they form positive attachments. The environment provides your child with a sense of well-being, making them feel safe, secure, and cared for.
Our philosophy
Children are active learners. We understand that they learn most effectively through doing. This is achieved through play. Play is how children develop most effectively and is how they learn to live life. We strive to provide such an environment, that is conducive to effective learning at a young age.
Your Child is an individual
Children are individual people with individual needs. Our activities are designed to allow young ones grow at a comfortable pace while at the same time helping your child develop social interaction skills that will allow them to play with others.
An Important Age
Your child is with us for an important period of their lives, and it is essential that they get the start they need.
Skills are being developed and cultivated through sensory play. Sensory exploration is a child's way of examining, discovering, categorizing and making sense of the world around them.
Activities are designed to encourage the children to make choices on their own. This increases self-confidence and a feeling of self-worth in each child.
All this is done at the child's own pace, allowing them to grow and explore without feeling pressured.
Our curriculum and hours
Our learning through play includes sessions of sensory play, movement through music, arts and crafts, through the use of weekly themes. All our learning is designed to encourage the mental and physical growth of your child and to prepare them for the next step on their journey through life.
To further your child's development we have teamed up with the Tumble Bears Gym program. Classes are available during normal school hours.
Our Hours Of Learning:
Happy Bears Play School is open from 7.30 am until 5 pm -Monday to Friday. We have mornings only, during school terms, or full-year enrolment options.
We pride ourselves on our approach to the education of your children. None of this would be possible without the dedication and hard work of our teaching staff.
Lunette is a qualified educator with 17 years of cumulative experience, owning and teaching at Moms and Tots in Fish Hoek and as a pre-school teacher.
